"Time is the bud..."

We got mulch for my garden today...I'm slowly but surely making a dent in it. Ever since I was little I would help my dad maintain beautiful gardens, just as my grandfather did.  But the soil has been neglected the past couple of years...so this year I decided to resurrect it all as my own.  I'm even going to repaint my yellow brick road so my niece can now enjoy the magic of it.  Since I've started turning the soil, the previous flowers have decided to come back to life....and as I peeked in there this morning...to my excitement, they had grown about an inch and a half!  I can't wait to start planting more!

Like a Horse & Carriage.

Here’s my take on the matter..
It’s supposed to be a surprise.
So women... STOP pushing.
(This thought has nothing to do with the wedding in the photographs, it was a very lovely and romantic ceremony and they are a lovely and romantic couple. These are just some of my own thoughts to go along with the photos.)  :)

The pictures I take with thoughts in the wake.

I talked to this man when I went to Las Vegas last week.  He was one of many men sitting on the side of the walk, but he was different.  He didn't have a sign describing his plight.  He didn't make himself appear distraught and despondent.  And he was sweet.  I asked him how much the flowers he was making were, and agreed to buy one if he let me take some photographs(although I don't think he would have minded either way).  When I complimented his work and asked him how he learned to fashion these flowers made of what I'm guessing was palm strips,  he replied with Santa Monica, CA.  It makes me wonder if I had seen him there before but never noticed.  I don't know why I felt such a pull to this particular panhandler-if that's the word for him, he wasn't so much begging as he was just doing his own thing- but I did feel pulled. So I went to the hotel for my camera, came back, and photographed him.  The pictures are nothing magnificent, I just thought he deserved it.
