Star Trails.
Here are my first star photography attempts. I bought a remote shutter for around $30 and it was the best purchase I've ever made. I went up to one of my favorite mountain roads here in NC and set up camp for a couple hours :) ..... The only editing I did was some color/contrast boost. And I put a vintage effect on the first photo for fun. The stars are not edited. I was very please with how they came out! I love how they circle around the North Star.

Clear as a Bell.
I recently acquired a Yashica A TLR camera, much like these, from Craigs List. I'd been looking for a camera like this ever since I saw Novalee Nation's (Natalie Portman) in the 2000 film Where the Heart Is. I was drawn to how primitive the process was to use this camera, and yet how amazingly clever the set up is. And since I bought the camera not knowing what condition it was in, it was a wonderful surprise to see those photos come out crystal clear and more perfect than I could have wished for! So here is the product of my first roll of film (120mm to be exact). Mind you, the composition isn't that great since they were just test shots to learn the camera, but I was pleased with a couple. :)
P.S. See if you can pick out the double exposed photo ;) ....

Been Too Long....
It's been quite a while since I've posted. But I've still been taking just as many photos as ever. Between my SLR, my 35mm, and my new 120mm...I have lots of new favorites. But until I can post those, here are a few recent recent ones. :)

"I'm dreaming of a white".....Spring?/ Mother Menopause
No, it's not Christmas. It just randomly decided to snow the other morning....after it had been 80 degrees the week before!! So much for my poor garden. Although the snow came and went quickly, the halt it put on my desired eden dampened my spirits. And I thought the deer eating my flowers was my only worry! (Yes the deer ate my bird seed and beautiful, freshly planted, purple flowers...buds and all!) So, alas, the gardening affair will have to be postponed until the Mother Nature decides to make up her mind....she has be going through menopause...
